THE BRIEF
Creative Conscience are a creative community and global not-for-profit organisation who believe creative thinking and innovation can make positive change. The health and well-being brief set designers the challenge to create a project that deals with the issue of improving health and wellness. We were asked to identify something within this topic that isn’t working in the world around us and look for a creative solution.

THE CONCEPT
‘This Isn’t Awkward is a creative solution to the brief; a project that was driven through a genuine passion to help and support young girls through the daunting process of starting your period.  ​​​​​​​
This Isn’t Awkward is a product and service that educates, nurtures and supports teenagers through the daunting stages of starting their period. It is targeted towards teenage girls and parents, helping to eliminate awkward conversations and negative stigma surrounding the natural process of menstruation. The informative product will help teenagers feel less alienated by their cycle, encouraging positive change, opening up the important conversations surrounding starting your period. It isn’t just girls who have a period. The design of the product is gender neutral, so everyone can feel comfortable utilising the product as a positive resource, no matter their pronoun.
